The Week of Thankful: A Love Letter to our Clients

Dear Clients,

We know Thanksgiving is over, all the leftovers have been eaten, and you’re finally able to button your pants again. That doesn’t mean we can’t look back on the grateful spirit of the season and give thanks to you, our wonderful clients.

2016 has been a year of learning for Triptych. We entered into this year with so many hopes, goals, and ideas for our company. With just two people, a handful of videos we are proud of, and a whole lotta passion in our arsenal, we were ready to tackle 2016 and get our hands dirty doing it. We’re going to be honest with you: it’s been hard. Really hard. God bless the University of Florida and their wonderful Video Production program, but we did a whole lot of learning outside of our formal educations.

We learned how to get outside of our comfort zone - majorly. We’ve been lucky to have a community in the Gainesville area who looks out for others, and have been so willing to go out of their way to make recommendations, vouch for us, or even adopt us into their team for projects (here’s looking at you, Parisleaf).

2016 has been the most interesting kind of roller coaster.

To our clients: You've made this all worth it. Every single second.

Thank you. Your trust in hiring us for your project has been inspiring. You took a chance on a small local business that doesn’t have decades of experience, a huge production crew, and all the shiny new toys.

Thank you. Communicating with you all throughout the project was a wonderful way for us to hear how passionate you were about the project. It was a way for Triptych to not only come up with creative ways to make your project stand out, but it was a way for us to learn to listen. You showed us how collaboration was the key to making the project shine. It was a way for us to build a lasting relationship with you.

Thank you. Filming with you will always be the highlight of the project. Triptych likes to get things done professionally and efficiently, but we like to have fun while we’re doing it. When you goofed and laughed along with us, we knew we were doing a good job because you were having fun too.

Thank you. The editing process is always the longest part of the project, but your patience and understanding during post-production is so helpful. When there are things you want revised during the editing process, you are always so gracious and kind about letting us know exactly what the project needs to change. Why are you so awesome in that way?

Thank you. When we finally deliver the product and you’re ecstatic about it, it is seriously the best feeling in the world for us. We love to hear how you feel about the finished product (of course we’ll take the compliments, we’re only human) and we love knowing that we delivered something that we can all be proud of and show off to all of our friends and colleagues.

We are eternally thankful for the wonderful clients we’ve had in 2016. From weddings to promotions to music videos, we have met and worked with people better than we could have dreamed. Working with you has taught us so much, and we are so grateful that every person we’ve worked with has become a good friend.

2016, you’ve been good to us. We can’t wait to see what 2017 holds.

Best Wishes,

Caitlin and John
